I’m finally doing some personal work again. It has started very innocently. I was just relaxing at the Sunday afternoon and I opened the Zbrush and sculpt a head. It looked pretty good so a have decided to add the body. Ok, and then a hat. And the next thing I know is that I’m working on the full male character with the proper mesh topology, UVs and Hires textures ). I have also spoke with my friend loocas and set out a deal that we will try to make a short animation, some sort of teaser, together. So loocas will hopefully deliver the rigs and the animation and I will try to make it look as realistic and beautiful as I possibly could. Its pretty challenging in the light of the facts that we are making this project in our spare time and we dream about the quality somewhere between Blur and Blizzard ) . But who need to sleep when you can put your veins on to the coffee infusion, right? Heh, just kiding. Anyway I’m really looking forward to see this finished though the finish is somewhere over the horizont…

Some time ago I have been given a great chance to present some of my works on the very prestigious internet gallery, RAPH, which I think most of the cg artists known for a long time. My name even appear on the Featured Artist list as a “Artist of the Month”  which is very cool. When I afterwards look at the list of the names who represent the jury, my jaw fall down. The Jury there is full the greatest names in the field of Cg industry. Names like Pascal Blanché, Krishnamurti Costa, Alessandro Baldasseroni, Steven Hagg Stahlberg and many, many others. I just feel very flattered so I put together a small  email, whare I express how honored I feel that the Jury like my atrworks. And then something amazing happend! Raphael Benedet, the founder of this site offer me to become a member of the Jury. No need to tell where was the location of my jaw again ). On the page, where I was often founding an inspiration and a huge amout of beautiful artworks when I was starting with computer graphic, now I appear as one of the Jury. I have to say that I am very proud on this…

I am back with some new work…Some time ago I came across the CG Chain site and found there sculpting and modeling challenge. The subject was “Famous bust”. So I have decided to make a great British statesman Winston Churchill. Also one of my colleague at Upp, Jan Jinda, was also excited about this challenge and the opportunity to match some famous person in Zbrush.  So we was encouraging each other to  finish this head in time. I have been working on this model for pass five days I consider this model as final for the needs of the challenge. It was a great experience trying to make a bust similar to the original reference…

Few days ago I was cleaning my old disk and I have found this robot. It was an entering test to UPP in Prague which is traditional test to those who wants to work there as a cg artists. The test was about making a robot of your own concept and everything as modeling, texturing, lighting, animation and compositing on your own in one week… So I have a very personal relation with this robot, because I pass

Heaving to much work in these days with the Nutcracker project my personal portfolio little bit suffer. Anyway I am working on this article about the Ash fall game. It will take a while to put everything together, so for this time I give some wip preview of one of the scenes I am now working on..

In the article will appear some remake pictures of old scenes all Hires (2k renders). Also I am hoping to recruit Michal Suchánek into this project to make some remakes of his beautiful characters and put it in this article. The text will be written by Ondřej Malota (Matoha) so it will be funny and very interesting…
