Hi folks

I am back with some new work…Some time ago I came across the CG Chain site and found there sculpting and modeling challenge. The subject was “Famous bust”. So I have decided to make a great British statesman Winston Churchill. Also one of my colleague at Upp, Jan Jinda, was also excited about this challenge and the opportunity to match some famous person in Zbrush.  So we was encouraging each other to  finish this head in time. I have been working on this model for pass five days I consider this model as final for the needs of the challenge. It was a great experience trying to make a bust similar to the original reference…

    I have decided to go even further and try to make a caricature of sir. Winston just for test of my skills, because I know that make a good caricature is really hard thing. It has to be perfectly recogniseble.This is my first test of the shape of head.

    Updates, updates, updates!

    I was awful busy these days so I just put here these images and write some text later. I am working on the scene and lights and shaders and of course those damned bird excrements :) . I hope I will force this picture looks good.

    So, its finally finished. Sir Winston Churchill and a pigeon (it sound’s like some fable from Ezop :) ) You can watch it while I will be sleeping at least next two months :) No, actually I am thinking about some nice short video with which Churchill could be part of… I dont know maybe even some little showreal, heh.

    Atom – Can you kindly tell me, what poly count is your head bust when complete and how are you bringing it into your 3D app, Disp map or direct import? (not sure if you’re using Maya or Max). Thanks.
